Spring brings all sorts of new ideas, activities, loved ones, and friends. Situations seem to be thrown at you from many different directions, and you have to learn to cope with what comes your way. Friend, I know. I understand. It gets hard sometimes. A good friend encouraged me once by telling me that it’s the Christian life. It’s a constant up and down; a constant battle. But when the going gets tough, please remember that there is a man who has been through every single kind of trial in life. He’s been mocked, had hair pulled out of his face, been spit at, had a close friend betray him, and been tempted just like we are. His name is Christ Jesus, and you can count on him to be there and listen to you at any time. I don’t know how unbelievers go through life without being able to talk to a close friend who understands them completely. Christ will never break what has already been bruised.

Sometimes II just want to close my eyesAnd act like everyone’s alright When I know they’re not
This world needs God But it’s easier to stand and watch I could say a prayer and just move on Like nothing’s wrong
But I refuse ‘Cause I don’t want to live like I don’t care I don’t want to say another empty prayer Oh, I refuse
To sit around and wait for someone else To do what God has called me to do myself Oh, I could choose Not to move but I refuse
I can hear the least of these Crying out so desperately And I know we are the hands and fee tOf You, oh God
So, if You say move It’s time for me to follow through And do what I was made to do Show them who You are
‘Cause I don’t want to live like I don’t care, I don’t want to say another empty prayer, Oh, I refuse
To sit around and wait for someone else To do what God has called me to do myself. Oh, I could choose Not to move but I refuse
To stand and watch the weary and lost Cry out for helpI refuse to turn my back And try and act like all is well
I refuse to stay unchanged To wait another day, to die to myself I refuse to make one more excuse
‘Cause I don’t want to live like I don’t care, I don’t want to say another empty prayer Oh, I refuse
To sit around and wait for someone else To do what God has called me to do myself Oh, I could choose Not to move but I refuse

JOSH WILSON

The world sees a friend as someone who will stick with you always: No matter what you do. I think there is a truth to that, yet there’s something missing. So, what is a friend? God’s word speaks about friends being closer than a brother and being there no matter what. I know that I have about two or three friends that will stick with me through thick and thin. I’ve made a few mistakes, but we all do, and they know that. They’ve helped me up when I needed it, and they’ve showed me my faults and wrongs when I needed it. So, what is a friend to you? Do you have any friends who are “by your side whenever you fall; in the dead of night, whenever you call”? God bless! 🙂

Calm, cool, and collected

ImageOften times we find ourselves stressing over the smallest of things. Don’t you know your maker is under control? I know, easy to say, but it’s a different thing to actually BELEIVE it, and act like that’s true. Full and complete trust is what our God wants. All he wants is to be the main focus of you life; He wants to have a RELATIONSHIP with you, not for it to be a dictatorship. This flower communicates peace. Peace, serenity, and warmth. We need to be that way in the arms of God. Becoming God’s children we find this indescribable peace, and serenity. We also feel the warmth of our savior’s face, and his radiant love for us. He cares for YOU. So, like this flower, we can hope to be, but may not always be, calm, cool, and collected in the arms of our loving God and Father. God Bless!

Mysterious Beauty

Walking into the Greenhouse at KCTC (Kent Career Technical Center), there is a sudden blast of warm air, and a welcoming aroma of the fresh flowers. Nothing is quite as inviting as a sunny little paradise where all you can hear is the slight hum of the spray fans watering the plants. There is an array of different plants and greenery, all spreading out their beauty like peacocks on a sunny day. As you meander through the many rows, you might meet an occasional gardener, working busily to keep all their prized possessions looking their best. I walked up to a garden bench and paused, taking in everything around me. God certainly is the master of all beauty. He truly has a sense of design. I looked down to my right, and saw this beautiful, yet unique, flower that I had never seen before. I had to capture it, and keep it as a memory of the solemnity and pacific atmosphere of my surroundings. I wandered through, taking a few pictures here and there, and thanking God for sharing his creation with his people.

Orange Flower

This is one of the very first flower pictures I’ve taken with an expensive camera. 🙂 I’m very excited about it. Taken in the greenhouse at Kent Career Tech Center. Many of my photography will be from there. Thanks for reading!
